Create user accounts to grant access to the admin portal and community.
Fuel Cycle supports the following account types:
- Client — Read-only access to the admin portal. Can participate in activities on the front end, but cannot access member data.
- Moderator — Can create and manage activities and interact with members. Cannot access all administrative settings.
- Supermoderator — Full administrative access, including system settings and member data.
All account types follow the same creation process. Permissions depend on the selected role.
Create a Single User Account
- Members — In the left navigation, click Members.
- Manage Members — Select Manage Members.
- Create a New Member — Click Create a New Member.
- Username — Enter a member-facing username.
- First Name — Enter the user's first name.
- Last Name — Enter the user's last name.
- Password — Enter a password.
- Confirm New Password — Re-enter the password to confirm.
- Email Address — Enter the user's email address.

Member Type — Select Client, Moderator, or Supermoderator from the dropdown.
- Client users have read-only visibility in the admin portal.
- Moderator users can create and manage activities and moderate discussions.
- Supermoderator users have full administrative access.

Read Only — Check Read Only to restrict the user to view-only access in the admin portal.
When enabled, the user:
- Cannot create or edit activities.
- Cannot view, download, or export member data.
- Can comment on activity landing pages.
- Can participate in live chats, Delta Test ticket replies, and surveys.
- Test Account — Check Test Account to designate the user as a test account.
- Community Access — Select the community or communities the user can access. If multiple communities are available, select one or more.
- Language — If your portal supports multiple languages, select a default language from the dropdown.
Click Create Member to save the account.
Create Multiple User Accounts
- Members — Navigate to Members.
- Manage Members — Select Manage Members.
- Create Multiple Users — Click Create Multiple Users.
- Member Creation — Select Member Creation as the batch update type.
- Upload File — Upload your file and map the required fields.
- Complete Batch Update — Finish the batch update process.
