This article gives an introduction to the features and choices found in the top right corner for community members. The Settings menu is a central place where members can customize and personalize their experience in the community. It provides different functions that allow members to manage their account settings, privacy preferences, notification settings, and more. Announcements give you a heads-up from moderators on things members need to know. These options give members control over their profile, privacy, and how they interact with the community.

Settings Menu

The Settings menu allows members to see and control several items for their community account, including Notification settings, Activities, FAQs, Messages, and more.

Notifications

View notifications for your community activities that moderators may send.

Account Settings

View and manage important information about your account.

Member Info

Every member has unique data points such as email and mobile number. Further required fields include:

• Username
• First Name
• Last Name
• Gender
• Date of Birth

Profile points may also be added to this list and required for the member to fill out.

Account Privacy

At the bottom of the page, the Manage My Account link contains privacy details. We support your right to be informed and make choices about the data and information you share with us. Fuel Cycle communities include tools for members to manage their data. Members can request a copy of their data and download it. Members can also request the permanent destruction of their account and all associated personally identifiable information.

These actions can be performed by clicking the Data Controls link to take them to the next page.  First, Fuel Cycle needs to verify the member's identity to ensure secure access to their data. If they have an active account, they can authenticate by entering their email address on-screen.

Member Profile

On this page, new members can complete account registrations by filling out information on this page. Existing members can update their profile values.

Communication

Update communications settings such as...

• Community Emails & Announcements—Emails from the community about new activities, rewards, and features. If you unsubscribe, please allow up to 48 business hours for it to take effect.
• Time Zone—All community messages will be sent to you with consideration for your time zone.
• Daylight Savings—Enabling Daylight Savings automatically adjusts the time for daylight savings changes.

Update Account

• Update your password here by entering your old password once and your new password twice.
• Update your email address by entering your old email address once and your new email twice.
• Update your mobile phone number by entering your Mobile Number at the bottom of this screen. You will receive a verification code text message which you need to use to complete the update.

My Activity

This page includes actions related to your participation in the community. Actions and dates are posted for the following:

• Member Posts
• Participation in events
• Files Uploaded
• Comments
• Likes

Messages

Start a message asking the moderator about your account or any other areas where you need additional support. Click Start a Support Message to begin.

FAQ

If at least one activity is published and tagged with the FAQ category, a link to the FAQ is displayed in the profile settings in the top right corner of the page. If only one activity is in the FAQ category, the link will take the member directly to the activity. If more than one activity exists in the FAQ category, the member will be taken to the category landing page where all FAQ activities are listed.

Log yourself out of the system manually from here.

Announcements

If at least one activity is published and tagged with the Announcements category, the bell icon is displayed in the Fuel Cycle community's menu bar at the top of the page.
