Import Alchemer Surveys to Fuel Cycle 🎬 Follow
Whether you are generating a new survey or coming back to an existing survey, the process is the same for importing the survey into Fuel Cycle: you need the shared primary link from Alchemer to link your survey and its results to Fuel Cycle.
- If you are proceeding on this page with creating a new survey, you are already on the Share tab.
If you are returning to an existing, saved survey, click the orange Launch Alchemer button on your Fuel Cycle dashboard, find your survey, and then click the Share tab.
- Copy the primary link URL.
- Go back to Fuel Cycle browser window. Notice that the page has changed to Create & Import Survey.
- Paste the URL into the Survey Link field.
- Notice that the instructions on the page specify to "delete the end of the link (this removes the title of the survey from the end of the URL)."
- When you copy the URL in Alchemer, it will look like this:
https://www.alchemer.com/s3/99999999/name_of_survey
- What you should remove is the part of the URL that contains
/name_of_survey
- This would leave only...
https://www.alchemer.com/s3/99999999
- Click the Preview Survey button. Your survey will now be displayed on the page.
- Go through and take the survey.
- After completing the task, the system will verify the redirect codes for accuracy. If everything is correct, you will see a button to import the survey. Once you click the Import Survey button, the survey will be imported into Surveys and will be available to add to the content.
- Assign to Teams—Assign a team of moderators to lead this project. The project is available to all moderators by default if no team is assigned. Once you assign a team, this may not be changed.
- Survey Alias—Name your survey as you wish for members to see it. This step allows you to conceal your internal naming conventions.
