FC Live — Interview Preparation 🎬 Follow

Proper preparation and communication before your interview or focus group is crucial for ensuring an effective session with engaged participants.

Prepare your interview materials in the Interview Prep tab of FC Live. This is where you program discussion guides, polls, and takeaways to use in your upcoming FC Live session.

Discussion Guides

Discussion Guides are reference tools that outline the questions or topics to be discussed during your interview or focus group. You can automatically pull discussion guides programmed here into a moderator’s view of an FC Live interview session. These guides are interactive, allowing the moderator to check off discussed topics and rearrange elements or questions in real time as needed.

Discussion guides are not visible to interview participants.

After an interview is completed with your discussion guide, generate an Excel file with your discussion guide questions and the answers provided by the participants through the interview transcript.

Polls

Create single-question polls for respondents to answer during their FC Live interviews. Moderators can launch polls on the participants' screens, and they can choose their answers during the actual session. Both moderators and observers will see the results in real time. These polls are created in the Polls tab under Interview Prep.

Takeaways

Takeaways are the final resource you can prepare before an interview with FC Live. After the session is completed, you can ask observers questions such as, “What were the most important learnings from this conversation?” or “What actions would you take based on what we heard today?”

Takeaways are structured as discussion guides, allowing you to include programmed sections with questions. These takeaways will pop up to moderators and observers after an FC Live interview concludes. They will type their answers in the FC Live platform and submit them. Feedback from takeaways will be available to review in the Takeaways section of the Overview homepage after the interview.

Invite Participants

After your discussion guide, polls, and takeaways are set up and your session is programmed, you are ready to start inviting participants.
