Member Activation Follow
When a new member account is created in a Fuel Cycle community—whether through a bulk batch update or by passing a recruitment screener—they receive a validation email and an SMS validation message if a valid mobile phone number is requested during registration. If moderators manually add members, they are automatically activated.
The activation type is then recorded for each member and can be seen in member exports under the "Activation Type" column.
Valid activation types:
- Auto—Member was activated automatically when created by a Moderator.
- Manual—Member was activated via batch update.
- Provisioned—Member was activated when their account was automatically provisioned through an integration.
- Mobile—Member was activated via mobile phone verification.
- Email—Member was activated via email verification.
Only the original activation type is recorded; if a member was activated automatically when created in the system by a Moderator and then clicks a link in an email to complete registration, their Activation Type does not change from Auto to Email.
