Static Groups Follow
Static groups are a group of community members that will not change unless you add users to the group. These static groups are created by manually adding users to the group.
Create a Static Group
- Start by giving the group a name.
- You'll now see a list of all community members in the left box.
- You have three options for adding members to a static group: manually, through a list of usernames, and a CSV file upload.
- Manually—Browse or search through usernames and click the "+" button to add the user to the group. As you add members, they will be listed in the box on the right. You can remove a member by simply clicking the remove button.
- Username list—Select the "+" button next to the search box. Paste a list of usernames separated by commas and then select "Invite Members."
- CSV file—Update a static group using a .csv file that you have generated. You will have the option to use the selected .csv file to over-write all existing members in a static group or append members to an existing static group. The file upload process uses ONE of the following fields to upload users:
- User ID (column header: USER_ID)
- Username (column header: USERNAME)
- Email Address (column header: EMAIL)
- Manually—Browse or search through usernames and click the "+" button to add the user to the group. As you add members, they will be listed in the box on the right. You can remove a member by simply clicking the remove button.
Be sure to save the file in Comma Delimited CSV format.
If there are already users in an existing static group, the entire static group will be over-written by the users included in the most recent CSV file upload.
Total Linked Activities
This is a listing of all Published and Scheduled Activities that are associated with your Static Group. Once an Activity is Closed, Archived, or Deleted, it will be removed from this list. Clicking an Activity will take you to the 'Invite' tab of that Activity, where you can make changes to the invite list.
Push Data to External Sources
Selecting "Push to survey providers" means that this particular group will be pushed as a variable for use in analysis and reporting to survey providers like Alchemer and Qualtrics.
This data is pushed to these sources in the following format:
- GROUP | {Group Name}
- True = Member is included in this group
- False = Member is not included in this group
