Create Survey

Access Alchemer by clicking on the Surveys icon on the left of the Fuel Cycle screen and then clicking Launch Alchemer. 

Once in Alchemer, start new surveys by copying the Base Survey. This is the survey created for you during implementation and contains everything you need as a base survey.

1. Click the icon with three dots at the far right of the row.
2. Click Copy to copy this base survey.
3. Rename your copied survey.
4. Click Start Building to continue.

You are now in the survey builder view:

You can now add questions, text, and media to your survey using the options on this page. Alchemer will walk you through building each element as you click on an option. Click to view Alchemer's knowledge base article on creating surveys.

Alchemer's video size limit for questions is 250 MB.

For example, when you click to add a new question, it will default to a Radio button question, but you can click the drop-down to see all question types available and select the type of question you wish to add.

Continue to add questions and other elements as needed. To create a new page, click the “Add Page” link.

Add the Redirect URL

When you are done creating your survey, add a “Post Survey Action” that will redirect the user back to the community after they complete the survey.

Add Skip Logic

At the bottom of the page where you want to add Skip/Disqualify Logic, click the Skip/Disqualify Logic link. The Skip/Disqualify Logic options will display. See this article for a complete description of building disqualification logic.

Publish Survey

There are two options for generating the survey link URL which needs to be copied to Fuel Cycle: option one is a generic URL that is unbranded, and option two is to rebrand your link into a custom URL that shares your custom domain.

Option 1: Generate the Survey Link

To get your survey URL...

1. Go to the Share tab.
2. In the Primary Link section, click the Customize link.
   
3. Locate the URL and delete all the text from the end (in the white text box).
   
4. If your community uses a secure URL (uses “HTTPS” at the beginning of the community URL), you will also need to set the survey to Secure.
5. Click Done.

Option 2: Generate a Private Domain Survey Link

To publish the survey with a private label domain...

1. Go to the Share tab.
2. In the Primary Link section,  copy the number at the end of the primary link that represents your survey.
   
3. Click the Customize link.
4. In the Sub-Type section, click Private Domain.
5. After the HTTPS:// add your custom domain.
6. After the /s3/ paste your number from the end of the primary link that represents your survey.
   
7. Click Done.
