FC Surveys now features a simplified process for creating an Overall Survey Quota. Sometimes, you don't need complex targeting, just a straightforward cap on responses.
An overall quota helps prevent overcollection, especially in studies with limited incentives or budgets. It allows moderators to set a strict limit on the total number of survey completions—regardless of participant attributes or conditions.
Best Practices
- Use an overall quota to control survey volume.
- Combine with conditional quotas if you need both global and segmented limits.
- Always preview your quota logic before launch.
Workflow
- Click the Quota Management button
from your survey.
- Choose Overall Survey Quota from the Quota Type dropdown.
- Specify the limit or maximum number of survey completions to collect. The quota count increments each time the logic condition is met and the survey is completed.
- When a quota has been met, select one of the following:
- Stop collection and show a message—Example:
Sorry, the maximum number of responses have been reached. Thanks for your time! - Continue collecting responses—Allows responses to continue past the limit if needed.
- Stop collection and show a message—Example:
- Check the Quota notification box to send a notification email when the quota is reached.
- Click Save to apply the overall quota to your survey.
